What PHI Means
The golden ratio — φ ≈ 1.618 — appears everywhere, from spiral galaxies and seashells to the proportions of the human body. Renaissance artists called it the Divine Proportion. We borrow its name because PHI also captures exactly what we stand for.
Pragmatic, Holistic, and Individualized Education — an approach that values practical skills, the whole of a subject, and the uniqueness of every learner.
Pragmatic
Education that teaches practical skills for life. Through literature-based learning we cultivate empathy and knowledge, empowering students to become better individuals.
Holistic
Valuing the whole of a subject — connecting nature, people, the arts, and the past, present, and future into one connected picture. Hands-on outdoor and kitchen projects, from gardening and woodworking to cooking, bring that idea to life.
Individualized
Every learner is unique. We embrace and cultivate that uniqueness, shaping each session around the student in front of us.
